Account Deletion Policy
How to delete your Cube account and what happens to your data
1. Your Right to Delete
You have the right to delete your Cube account at any time. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
2. How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account through:
- CubeApp: Settings → Account → Delete Account
- Email request to: deletion@cube.ng
- Contact our support team
3. What Gets Deleted
- Your profile information and account details
- Your Cube Line identifier
- Message history stored on our servers
- Call logs and contact lists
- App preferences and settings
4. What Cannot Be Deleted
- Blockchain transactions (DVU, DPO) - these are permanently recorded on the blockchain
- Messages already delivered to other users' devices
- Information required for legal compliance
- Anonymized aggregate data
5. Waiting Period
After requesting deletion, there is a 30-day waiting period during which you can cancel the deletion request. After this period, deletion is permanent and irreversible.
6. Before You Delete
Before deleting your account, we recommend:
- Withdraw any DVU tokens to an external wallet
- Export any data you wish to keep
- Inform your contacts of your departure
- Cancel any active subscriptions or services
7. Reactivation
Once your account is permanently deleted, you cannot reactivate it or recover your data. You may create a new account, but your previous Cube Line identifier and data will not be available.
